There’s still some confusion and even controversy surrounding hemp and the products made from it. And it can still be a bit confusing to shop for hemp products if it isn’t something you’re used to, but we’re here to teach you about all the amazing products made from this plant.

So in this article we aim to answer two of the questions we’re asked most of all.

One of the things we’re asked the most, is “Is hemp legal”? And our answer is simple: Yes, absolutely it is. Industrial Hemp has low levels of THC (which is the bit that makes you high) – less than .2% – and is used in a wonderfully wide range of products from ropes, twines and fabric, to natural beauty products, clothes, oil and food items.  It is not only legal, it also makes some of the most sustainable products out there. IN INDIA owing to the heritage linked to Cannabis there are different state laws and under AYUSH regarding use of THC rich Cannabis. Also, two states as of now has fully lagalised the cultivation of industrial HEMP that are Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Another question we’re asked all the time: How healthy is hemp really? Another simple answer here: Incredibly healthy! These are just some of the health aspects of hemp:

Hemp oil is nutritionally superior to the more widely known flax, chia or fish oils. It contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that has anti-inflammatory properties, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a building block of cell membranes. It also contains more protein than flax and chia.

Hemp has a naturally balanced ratio of the essential fatty acids; it contains all ten essential amino acids and it is one of the best sources of soluble and insoluble dietary fibers.

Hemp seeds contain vitamin E as well as phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and zinc minerals.
